Tara Centro Atyra

The Tara Centro Atyra (TCA) is an important Buddhist center in Atyra.
This city is considered the cleanest city in Paraguay and is only 60 minutes away from the international airport of the capital Asunción.

At the TCA we practice the Buddha’s teachings through various activities. These include ZEN meditation and the rituals of tantric Buddhism.
Combined with the Madhyamika Prasangika philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism, they give our practice its special flavor.

The aim of the TCA is to experience and realize the Buddha’s teachings through practical exercises. Because only experiences are carried beyond death. That which has only been “understood” will most certainly be deleted by death. Therefore, we focus on methods such as meditation and exercises from the Tibetan Book of the Dead to preserve the essence of this life for the next life.

Our specialty lies in healing and accompanying the living as well as accompanying the dying and the dead through various healing techniques of Buddhism. These include Medicine Buddha rituals, Powa (transfer of consciousness at death) and accompanying the deceased during their 49-day bardo state (the period between death and rebirth). Most people don’t know the difference between dying and death. Death offers the opportunity to improve within samsara or even to free oneself from it. We offer support and guidance for those making this transition. Our services also include the accompaniment of animals. A maximum of three people are accepted in order to guarantee high-quality care. We can intervene even after several days or weeks before the rebirth takes place. However, there are cases in which some people overcome the bardo state before the 49 days are over and free themselves from samsara. However, this is not known in advance.

Offer

House of the Tara Centro Atyra
Rooms for dark retreat
New meditation center

In our center we offer techniques of classical shamanism such as sweat lodge rituals and medicinal plant rituals. In addition, we will soon also be offering the option of a dark retreat of 8 to 49 days in a room specially created for this purpose.

We are delighted to be able to share this special project with you: The conversion of an old house into a new ZENDO, where we will hold Zen sessions with up to 30 Zen students in the future. We are also planning to build a house for dark retreats that can accommodate two people. These places will be retreats for inner contemplation and meditation.
They make it possible to explore deeper levels of consciousness and spiritual practice.

To realize this vision, we need your support. Every donation, no matter how small, helps to create these sacred spaces.
People can experience healing, peace and enlightenment there.

Your donations will go directly towards the renovation of ZENDO and the construction of the dark retreat house. Together we can create a place of silence and learning that will help many people on their spiritual path.

If you would like to support our project, you can easily do so via our linked PayPal account. Simply click on the button below:

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and trust. Let’s realize this dream together and create a place of spiritual practice and inner peace.

With best regards and many thanks,

Your Tara Centro Atyra

Paraguay is a country full of mysticism. It is home to a large number of shamans, sorcerers and representatives of various spiritual traditions such as Paye, Umbanda, Macumba, Candomble, Quimbanda, Buddhists and more. This diversity creates a magical atmosphere. Paraguay is also characterized by a strong geomagnetic field, an affordable cost of living and a high level of security compared to other South American countries. Paraguayans are known for their tolerance and peacefulness as well as their preservation of traditional values such as decency, family and national pride. The “right-wing governing party” has been in power here for over 70 years. The national currency, the guarani, is considered one of the most stable in the world. Although Paraguay is as big as Germany and Switzerland combined, it only has around 7 million inhabitants, including around 500,000 “Alemanes” of German descent. We attach great importance to raising awareness and will be the only only institute in Paraguay with state authorization for medicinal plants such as ayahuasca, mushrooms (Nino Santos), LSD, etc. Unfortunately, the approval process is still somewhat delayed.

Ayahuasca

is not only used in shamanism, but also in tantra (Buddhism and Hinduism). We enable our visitors to use these “drugs”, or rather medications, legally as part of their training or therapy.
